Twelve days in November 2018 before the NASA Insight mission landed on Mars, the All-Steinway University of Georgia hosted an Intergalactic Piano Extravaganza with music that was out of this world. Five Steinway D’s interlocked on stage provided a rare treat for concert goers as a star-studded cast of UGA piano faculty and students guided them through the cosmos with works from Bach, Mozart, Debussy, John Williams and Gustav Holst. Underwritten by Athens public radio station WUGA, the event benefitted the scholarship program at the Hugh Hodgson School of Music.
