Steinway has accompanied me through many stages of my life. I know its resistance under my fingers, the way the sound opens when I lean into a phrase, and how it responds when I dare to take time. On a Steinway, I don't think about the instrument anymore. I trust it completely, and that trust allows me to focus only on what I want to say through the music.
