Belle Chi
Belle Chi is an American pianist recognized as one of the most promising talents of her generation. She first gained international attention at age 9 as the youngest-ever recipient of the prestigious “Star of Yamaha” title. Since then, she has performed at world-renowned venues including Carnegie Hall, Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall, Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, and The Juilliard School.
An internationally recognized prodigy, Belle has won over 20 First Prizes in major competitions, including the PIARA Hamamatsu International Piano Competition, Elizabeth International Music Competition, Manchester International Music Competition, and the 2025 Pacific Stars International Piano Competition, where she claimed 1st Prize in the Professional Young Artist B (Ages 16–18) category, competing against nearly 700 contestants from more than 50 countries. Past winners of the Pacific Stars Competition have gone on to compete in the Chopin, Van Cliburn, and Queen Elizabeth competitions.
Praised for her expressive power, orchestral sensitivity, and maturity beyond her years, Belle is also an accomplished concerto soloist. In 2025, she earned 2nd Prize at the Chopin in Cyprus International Concerto Competition, receiving the highest score for Chopin Piano Concerto in E minor. She has performed with orchestras including the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, Orquestra do Algarve, Jakarta Sinfonietta, and Xiangjiang Philharmonic Orchestra.
Belle currently studies with Alexandre Moutouzkine, co-head of Manhattan School of Music, and is mentored by Congyu Wang. She previously studied under Grace Chung and has further refined her artistry through masterclasses with pianists including Dang Thai Son, Yoheved Kaplinsky, Antonio Pompa-Baldi, Stanislav Ioudenitch, Julian Martin, and Orli Shaham.
Her achievements have attracted attention from major media outlets including New York Weekly, US Insider, Yahoo News, China Daily News, Economic Daily News, and Commercial Times. In October 2025, Belle graced the cover of New York Weekly, cementing her status as one of classical music’s brightest young stars.
